Hi, I’m Nora!
Travelling is one of the greatest gifts from the universe that some of us are lucky enough to have. To me, it is nearly on par to having a supportive family, a good group of friends, robust health…
I did my very first solo trip in 2014, attending a week-long summer camp in Hong Kong. Since then, I have found myself gallivanting all over the world: from immensely beautiful places like Antarctica, to culturally rich cities like Aleppo, wine heavens like Piemonte, and great animal events like the Sardine Run in KwaZulu-Natal.
Not to say that Norway is not culturally rich or that Aleppo isn’t beautiful, but you get my point!

Why I’m Here
Recently, I have realised that that although it’s never short of awesome to see places (like the Ziggurat of Ur with your own eyes!), meeting all sorts of people around the world is also just as rewarding, And that equally importantly, that people are different but also very much the same.
I understand that this is not a privilege that everyone in the planet has access to, so my way of giving back is to share with you all of the things I have discovered along the way.
Eight Billion Souls
Travel gives us a collection of interesting perspectives, and we can learn to be better people if only we’d listen to others more.
That’s why you won’t see too much of me here.
This site isn’t about me, but about the people I’ve met and the places I’ve seen.
Everything is written from the heart: there are no AI-generated texts (or AI-proofreading) used here✌️

A Little About Myself

Countries Visited
I know that borders are arbitrary, but there is an undeniable satisfaction in watching the counter rise!
04
Countries Lived In
We get a different perspective of a place by living there, as opposed to entering one as a tourist.

University Degrees
Just to show off – ha! I love to learn and I think that this is reflected everywhere in my life.
Please bear with me while I learn how websites work, and in the meantime – welcome!
(I also have a wine page coming up soon – watch out for a link TBR!)
